Description
Handcrafted by Luke Martin, this end-grain butcher block is built around a singular moment of discovery. As the saw blade passed through the maple, a naturally darker element was revealed, one that immediately caught Luke’s eye. Once framed by the rich purpleheart paired to the light maple, that dark mark became the unmistakable heart of the piece. Appropriately, this one-of-a-kind board is named Heart.
Juice grooves are milled along two sides, while a gently curved cut-out at one end allows a plate or vessel to be placed beneath, catching ingredients as they’re prepared. Measuring 18.75” × 12” × 2”, the board carries all the hallmarks of Luke’s thoughtful culinary woodwork, balanced proportions, purposeful details, and a quiet visual presence. For stability on the counter, premium brass, stainless steel, and silicone feet provide secure, slip-free placement.
Both a functional tool and an expressive object, Heart is a cutting board designed to be used daily and to tell its story every time it’s brought to the counter.
