Description
A unique, one-of-a-kind kitchen tool by Austria’s Maximilian Neukäufler, who carves under the name Woodman’s Finest, this rice paddle is defined by elegant proportions and a bold, expressive finish. Sculpted entirely by hand using traditional techniques in the Austrian countryside, it is carved from a carefully selected piece of local apple wood, each line and transition bearing the subtle marks of Max’s purposeful movements with blade in hand.
A pop of warmth is introduced through a restrained use of acrylic paint, while a slender hole at the end of the handle allows the piece to be hung directly on the wall or suspended with a tie of leather or twine. A quietly beautiful heirloom object for the chef’s kitchen.
