Description
Handcrafted on California’s Central Coast by longtime artisan blacksmith Dennis Kehoe, the Frying Saucer carbon cookware collection brings a thoughtful new form to the kitchen. Offered in 10”, 12”, and 14” diameters, the Frying Saucer design bridges the gap between a skillet and a saucepan, pairing tall, versatile, sloping side walls with a flat cooking surface forged from thick, heat-loving 10-gauge / 0.125” carbon steel.
Pre-seasoned with coconut oil and ready to cook, the 10” and 12” models—featuring 6” and 8” flat cooking surfaces respectively—are fitted with classic, comfortable long handles. The larger 14” model, with a 10” cooking surface, includes a hand-forged loop “helper” handle positioned opposite the long handle for added control. Designed for exceptional versatility, the Padauk Edition Frying Saucers can be used on gas, electric, glass, and induction stovetops, over open flame, and anywhere food is prepared and enjoyed. Because of the wooden handle, these are not intended for oven use. The classic Frying Saucers are the oven-friendly offering.
