The same Nick Rossi coffin-handle design that nods to America’s 1830s frontier, in a smaller, nimbler form. Green maple, tapered and faceted, gives the Spearmint its name, the wood’s grain reflecting light and turning heads like no other tool in the kitchen. A frame of white resin composite hides the partial tang beneath, secured by two flush stainless pins and four hand-peened sterling silver pins. The traditional detail that makes the coffin handle as historically grounded as it is visually arresting.
At 154mm / 6″, this is the compact counterpart to the Peppermint Coffin Chef, sized for the cooks who prefer a shorter blade without sacrificing any of the craftsmanship. AEB-L high-performance stainless steel, cryogenically hardened, carries the same two-tone finish: forge-finished flats above convex bevels hand-sanded to a silky satin, a welcomed upgrade not often seen in Rossi’s work. Thin, hard, and razor-sharp at the edge, with enough tip strength for the toughest ingredients. At 6.6oz and balanced just behind the 46mm heel, it moves quickly and precisely through everything the kitchen asks of it.
