Description
Sculpted by hand from locally sourced birch wood with beautiful details at every turn comes a one-of-a-kind wooden spoon from artist Maximilian Neukäufler. Shaped one knife stroke at a time in his Austrian workshop, Max uses only hand tools and traditional methods to create heirloom culinary objects like this one. The combination of lighter sapwood and darker hardwood produces a striking visual effect, the story of the object’s hand-carved origins visible throughout. The elongated, offset bowl is sized for versatility: small enough to carry and eat with, and large enough to stir and serve beside the campfire. With Scandinavian and Asian design influences, Max’s woodwork is made to be cherished for years to come.
