Description

Presented here is a rare opportunity to own a blue-ribbon, award-winning work of culinary art designed and crafted by Gabe Fletcher, the visionary behind both Anchorage Forge and the acclaimed Anchorage Brewing. This singular creation earned Gabe top honors at Blade Show 2025—the world’s largest cutlery event—where it won Best Damascus across all knife and tool categories. Be mesmerized by the photos; little further description is needed.

Offered by its first and only owner in pristine, like-new, unused condition, the knife was forged entirely by hand at Gabe’s one-man studio. He developed the remarkable, flowing damascus pattern in-house, combining high-carbon alloys in innovative ways to produce an aesthetic unmistakably his own. Emanating down and outward from the blade’s spine and integral bolster, the layers of steel jump and sway with extraordinary detail and complexity, each glance revealing new metallic expressions.

Steady and weighted in the hand, with its balance point lying roughly one inch in front of the 51mm-tall heel, this knife is built to perform all manners of daily meal preparation without compromise. Gabe’s pronounced convex bevel geometry, culminating in an exceptionally thin, razor-sharp edge, gives the blade the versatility, strength, and finesse to do it all. Rigid and tough throughout its length, the spine tapers noticeably only in the final inches, ending in a fine, needle-like tip ideal for slicing and precision work.

For comfort and control, a slender, beautifully sculpted handle tapers back-to-front along multiple axes and facets, fashioned from dark, striking Arizona Desert Ironwood. And Gabe does not end there: the handle’s rear is capped with a jaw-dropping piece of “Jelly-Roll” damascus—an exquisite final flourish on an already mesmerizing knife.
