A remarkable, heirloom object of functional art, the Fold-of-Time Damascus Chef knife features a mind-bending, almost futuristic feel, the result of a homemade damascus pattern that could be mistaken for the Earthly, metallic representation of a wormhole that has twisted and contorted within itself from every angle, repeating endlessly through eternity. With a linear, faceted handle of tightly woven carbon fiber, a polished ring of stainless steel, and dark, cryptic piece of purple-infused maple which meets an integral forged bolster where the waves of space and time are depicted at their densest, the complete, singular work is one with the mysteries of the universe. For meal preparation, the cosmos are at your fingertips, the 240mm / 9.45″ blade moving quickly and nimbly in the hand, thin, light and flexible throughout its length. The spine begins slim at 2.6mm and tapers only slightly beneath tall, compound ‘S-grind’ bevel geometry and an especially thin, razor-sharp edge that sweeps upward toward a pointed tip, perfect for long, precise slices, carving work, and any number of chopping tasks.
