Description
In what may be the most distinctive presentation of Jason Morrissey’s mosaic damascus we’ve encountered, bladesmith Nick Anger reworks the storied material to striking effect in this one-of-a-kind chef knife. Recently returned from Nick’s studio, where it received a full refresh including surface refinishing, etching, and sharpening, this piece is offered in excellent, refreshed pre-owned condition. A rare opportunity to own a collaborative work by two world-class artisans, it’s a privilege to present.
Measuring 189mm / 7.7” in length with a gently curved edge profile and standing 52mm tall at the heel, the blade is versatile and capable, designed to become a trusted, everyday cutting tool. Nick’s expertly honed bevel geometry maintains strength and rigidity through the rear—keeping ample material behind the edge for dense ingredients—before slimming progressively toward a fine, pointed tip that brings precision to detail work and delicate slicing without sacrificing durability.
The knife is finished with a handle in Nick’s recognizable style: simple, ergonomic, and comfortable, sculpted from ebony and anchored by a forged integral bolster. Thoughtful in execution and rich in material presence, this singular chef knife balances collaborative artistry with the quiet confidence of a tool meant to be used often and well.
