EDGY doesn’t replace a full sharpening. What it does is ensure top cutting performance day to day, with minimal time and effort, while greatly reducing the frequency of full sharpenings needed. Think of it as the daily step that protects your investment in a great edge.
EDGY is the creation of David Wolke, an Austrian metalsmith, goldsmith, jeweler, and tool designer, developed with his partners out of their own professional need. It is produced in small batches in Austria and Germany.
A weighted aluminum base with a powder-coated black finish rests on non-slip rubber feet, keeping EDGY secure during use. The round ceramic rod rotates effortlessly to reveal a fresh surface, and can be removed for sink cleaning or replacement — though it is built to last years of consistent daily use.
