Description
If you’ve seen Nonnas — the Netflix hit starring Vince Vaughn and Susan Sarandon — you already know Jody Scaravella’s story. The Staten Island restaurant he built around immigrant grandmothers and their recipes became a film, and then a movement. The Nonnas of the World Community followed, turning that spirit into something lasting: a nonprofit where Nonnas become teachers and kitchens become classrooms.
This knife came out of a real friendship between Jody and Eatingtools founder Abe Shaw, two neighbors on Staten Island connected by a love of food, community, and craft. Crafted by Tomer Botner at Florentine Kitchen Knives in Barcelona, the FKK Petty Chef features a custom Nonnas handle in stacked layers of walnut, red, and black, a brass bolster, and a clean, high-performance stainless steel blade. The Nonnas of the World logo is laser-etched on one side; Florentine Kitchen Knives × Eatingtools on the other.
A portion of proceeds go directly to the Nonnas of the World Community — where Nonnas become teachers and kitchens become classrooms.
