Description
Whether a slice of orange on the rim or a garnish that blossoms, Don Carlos Andrade crafted this tool especially for the bartender. Shaped from Z-Finit stainless steel, a fine-grain nitrogen alloy known for extreme corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention, the 138mm / 5.4″ blade is designed for efficient, low-maintenance prep work in tight spaces. Behind a busy bar, that combination matters as much as the cut itself. Thin and hair-popping sharp, the edge is backed by Don’s superb convex bevel geometry, the satin-finished surfaces culminating at a fine, pointed tip perfect for precise slicing and detail work. The gently rounded blade spine and choil are polished to a high shine, contrasting the silky, hand-sanded bevels. Comfort and control over every cut and each ingredient is enjoyed via a handle sculpted from orange linen micarta, Don’s elegant carvings adding both texture and a beautiful aesthetic to its rounded surfaces. A translucent resin composite is used for the circular inlays, with two domed, hand-peened pins securing the full-tang construction. The rim, the twist, the final flourish. The knife for that moment.
